Nathanael Josiah Stone was born and raised in the tiny town of Summers, Arkansas. He is a 3rd generation musician coming from a line of creative artists including musicians, woodworkers, and oil painters.
Nathanael’s dad and grandpa taught him how to utilize his creativity, adding hard work and diligent attention to detail making the end product pristine. His grandpa’s mid 60’s Gibson guitar hangs from the wall of the studio as a symbol of the decades of music in the family.
Nathanael loves working with musicians that have an appreciation for the story behind the song. His personal instrument is violin/fiddle, and has performed in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Walton Arts Center. When not in the studio, he loves nothing more than to join a group of musicians around a campfire to play music. He brings these experiences into the studio, endeavoring to produce a recording that will capture the artist’s vision.
Nathanael, his wife and kids love hiking in the Ozarks and the Rockies and often spend several weeks a year hiking and camping in nature. It is Nathanael’s love for nature that inspires the heart behind StoneRidge.
